All students should have an after school job.

Every student wants to earn some pocket money. They have their dreams in life. Some students have the desire to earn some money on their own. They look for freelance jobs. They search in Google search engine for part time jobs. They look in the newspaper. Sometimes we think that after school jobs might hamper the studies. But a job experience boosts the confidence of the youngsters.

A school student has to study science, literature, language, history, geography in the evening and complete the home task. If the student gets some extra money by part time income, it is not bad. We need smart and talented kids. There are many children who are working as actors in televisions and movies. They are earning well and they earn well by appearing in festive occasions in puja pandals. We have seen talented child artists in televisions. The popular television shows use child artists for dubbing in animation movies and also in cinemas. We are amazed to see their talent. We are proud of these kids who are studying as well as earning as child artist. Their talent is increasing day by day and they are getting considerable amount of media attention.

The students who look for after school job must strike a balance. Parents must take the help of educational counselors and help them choose the right procedure of study. They must consult the career counselor for showing the right career to their child. This will prevent wastage of time. The parents must be quite careful.

The topic becomes controversial when we think of money spoiling the academic life of a student. A student should learn and some parents think that earning money can wait for some time. The student must score high marks in examination. The academic institutions award the meritorious students with medals and publicity. It must motivate other students to follow the same path. But sometimes due to the influence of media, many parents think that earning money is glamorous. As a result,  along with ageing the student forgets his goal. In order to earn money, the parents teach their children Bollywood Dance, classical dance, singing, musical instruments, etc. They enroll them in reputed music schools but only some of them can become stars.

The children are performing quite well in dance and singing reality shows. They are awarded with great prize money. In this way, they are becoming an earning member of their family. They give less priority to education. Few children are talented enough to move forward in their life. We are amazed to see this sudden shift of priority in our civil society.
